Kinney Receives MDC Venture Champion Award

Settlers bank is honored to announce that Ed Kinney has received the MDC Venture Champion Award in recognition of his consistent support of the MDC Venture Debt Fund. Ed has generously shared his time and resources to help make the fund successful in its goal to create high-quality jobs in Dane County by financing early-stage companies.

Ed was a founding member of the Fund and an active member of the Venture Debt Loan Committee from 2009 to 2021. Ed has provided loans to local business for more than 30 years.

MDC’s Venture Debt Fund lends money to hard-to-finance tech ventures in Dane County so that the companies have the opportunity to grow, thrive, and create high-quality jobs right here in Wisconsin. The Fund has made 68 loans totaling over $20 million over the past 16 years.
